Fall 2018 Feature Releases

Published October 18, 2018

With Open Enrollment season just around the corner, we’ve spent our summer gearing up for a few new feature releases we know will help alleviate administrative burden during what is already a stressful time of year.

The following enhancements are now available for our valued Accresa users:

New Registration Option: Participant Enrollment via Custom URL

We’ve implemented an exciting new participant enrollment option to make enrolling employees into a direct primary care benefit easier than ever. Rather than requiring full roster details ahead of time, plan administrators now have the ability to distribute a group-specific enrollment URL to prospective participants that will allow individuals to self-register themselves and any eligible family members into their membership-based benefit. The link can be conveniently placed into Open Enrollment materials or sent via email to eligible participants.

As a reminder, prior to the deployment of this feature, our standard enrollment option was our Employee Roster Spreadsheet. Successful upload of a full employee roster would trigger a welcome email to each employee asking them to complete the registration wizard. This option is still available, and may be a preferable solution for smaller groups where all demographic and dependent details are readily available.

If you’re interested in using the Participant Enrollment URL this Open Enrollment season, or need assistance determining which enrollment option would work best for your group, please contact our Client Services team for more details.

New Open Enrollment Tool: Healthcare Provider Search

At the request of our valued clients, we’ve implemented a new Provider Search tool that will let prospective participants search for available healthcare providers in their area prior to completing their benefits enrollment. We are confident that being able to search for and view all provider options will increase engagement and generate excitement for their unique new benefit.

Consultants: this tool is for you, too! Feel free to share this link with employer clients looking to implement a direct primary care option for their employees, to give them insights into DPC availability in their area.

New Patient Management Tool: Verification Center

We recognize that larger practices may have several employees managing day-to-day check-in procedures. Rather than giving each employee a full-system training, front desk personnel can now quickly and efficiently access patient details through our HIPAA-compliant Verification Center.

How does it work? When a patient selects a physician/clinic, they will have access to a ‘Clinic Instructions’ letter from their main dashboard, which contains a unique code specifically for use in the Verification Center. Upon arrival, the clinic check-in representative should request the code from the patient and enter it into the space provided in our Verification Center. Successful entry will reveal the patient’s eligibility info, including dates of eligibility and services included in their plan. Check it out here.

(Note: the same information is always available by logging into Accresa. This is just another option that can help expedite front-desk procedures.)
